Song Lyric Sunday Theme for 15/07/2018

img_1345-3Helen’s theme this week is “Break“.

Wouldn’t we all like a break? Don’t we all deserve a break? We may, perhaps, want to break someone’s neck, or head, or face!

These are certainly times that bring out the worst in lots of us so I’ve found a nice thing that is broken. Not only has it broken, but it is lovely, and it breaks every single day.

The lyrics are on screen.

This is a montage of beautiful cats, kittens and blackbirds set to the song, “Morning Has Broken” by Cat Stevens.  What’s not to like?

A Little Dark. . but very good

Dark, but cute post from Ray, with an added bonus of great music and a link to a blogger who sadly died in February 2017. It’s well worth a look at Gerard Vlemming’s site, if only his last full post on 9th February, just before his death on 25th.

Mitigating Chaos

A little dark, but cute nonetheless. This is what it might look like if the tables were turned for a day. (This photo came from  the late Gerard Vlemmings, who was a blogging visonary with his The Presurfer Blog.)

What would they be listening to as they opened their humans?  Trans Siberian Orchestra, of course.  (I’ve seen them live on three occasions. By far, the best shows I have ever been to and you should catch them if you can)

All Creatures Great and Small

Nan's Farm-Inside Out

Part One – The Sheep

The sheep minus the lambs

We’ve all done those trips down memory Lane haven’t we?  My own trips often include the cast of ‘All Creatures Great and Small’.  Sheep, pet lambs, goats, ponies, cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits, hamsters and a couple of parrots that all became part of our family.

Right now, it’s the beginning of August and as usual at this time of year, the lambs have been separated from the yews and have been moved a mile up the hill to fresh grazing.  I enjoy watching the lambs grow and still feel a twinge of sadness when it’s time for them to move on, their mothers however, appear to get over it in less than twenty four hours!

When our children were young we all looked forward to springtime and the new lambs. It was a time when if we were lucky, we would have the opportunity to bottle feed the pet…

For animal lovers everywhere, a lovely tale to brighten your day, with maybe a little tear!

The happy Quitter!

Of course, I know about the “Rainbow Bridge.” It’s a cute story that is supposed to cheer us up when we lose a furry friend, but until today I didn’t know there was a second part. The second part is for rescued animals and rescuers.

and my 2 attempts:

Sophie, the dementia care cat, knew that she may be roughly handled, she didn’t mind. She’d seen too many come and go, but loved them all!

Claude had been a faithful companion to Mary for 15 years.  This was the best lap in the world. Together they breathed a last contented sigh!
