Such a marvellous thing is my skin
It helps keep my blood and guts in
It keeps the rain out
But now there’s no doubt
It is getting increasingly thin
Maybe I’ve just turned a page
It’s a battle my body must wage
I develop strange hues
And so easily bruise
It’s something to do with my age
I love your limericks! 😀

(((HUGS))) 🙂
PS….as we become more well-seasoned we can all relate to this skin thinning. 🙂 Okay, I’ll admit it…the “…helps keep my blood and guts in…” made me snort-laugh!!! 😀

The squirrel recordings were on my phone voice recorder with no editing at all. For the limericks I used Audacity and took out excess pauses. I’m going to try Garage Band too to attempt background effects.

I like Audacity, it’s fun isn’t it.

WELL DONE PETER!!!!!! I loved hearing your voice! No squeaks heard from here.
And I get the thin skin thing…..I used to love a good bruise. But now I don’t know where they come from!

Thank you Colleen. Looking back at my Rapid Rhymes I find that so many have been inspired by something you have written, or drawn, so thank you for that!

Love it! Watching my muscles and bones gradually appear as the skin thins is like one of those slow movies.

Excellent limerick. I find myself in the same situation, I’m rather worried that if it keeps going at this rate it will eventually become see through, which I don’t think will be a good look!

That brings to mind the memory of seeing a torch shine through my hand as a child. Fascinating!
