Looe is in Cornwall m’dear

it’s famous for nothing I fear

A small coastal town

of little renown

but isn’t its name rather queer

  1. I love the towns that aren’t ‘known’ for anything. Even if the names are odd. It lends to my curiosity!!!! I can’t tell you how many towns I have gone through and searched the meaning of their names because of this very thing!!!!

    But, I love towns with unusual names!
    One time we stayed in a place that had Raton in it’s name…the lady at the hotel said the word “raton” means small rat or mouse, in Spanish. 😮
