It’s time again, for Kat Myrman’s wonderful challenge, to write a story, inspired by her picture prompt, in 280 characters or fewer.
Here is this week’s prompt and my contribution.
Check out all the fabulously creative entries here and, if you’ve never had a go, why not try a story of your own? You may surprise yourself!

Lost In Space
Close call with that meteor last week!
Yes, but have you seen this weird craft under the tree? There’s a canister just by the open door. Let’s look inside!
What’s this? A short story by the looks of it. Written by Peter’s pondering.
So, that’s why it wasn’t included in the roundup!
(278 characters)
It seems there may be a few stories stuck in that canister!
Nothing wrong with a little self promotion.

All the best ones go into the capsule!

What happens when you stick your hand in to get the story? Just curious…..before I do.

So that’s where last week’s tale ended up? I hate that the pingbacks were on the fritz last week! Several tales were swallowed up by the ethernet…or maybe it was dragons! At any rate I plan to to a special section in the next roundup and roundup those errant tales for everyone to see!!!

I think this must be a new generation spacecraft ‘Dragon Class One’ belonging to the Klingons. Quite an improvement on the Birds of Prey the Klingons often used in Star Trek Next Generation, that was my favourite of the Star Trek series, the heart fluttering thing I had for Commander Riker obviously helped!
Well done for finding it! 😀

But just how many people will see it now! Good one, Peter.

I think Kat has gathered up the lost stories to feature them this week. Failing that, they may take off in that spacecraft and be read by aliens!
