It’s time again, for Kat Myrman’s wonderful challenge, to write a story, inspired by her picture prompt, in 280 characters or fewer.
Here is this week’s prompt and my contribution.
Check out all the fabulously creative entries here and, if you’ve never had a go, why not try a story of your own? You may surprise yourself!

“Be your own boss.” they said.
“Choose your own hours.” they said.
“Meet lots of interesting people.” they said.
“Your earnings will double from the word go.” they said.
What they didn’t say was that I would spend the greater part of every damned day stuck in downtown traffic!

Oh no! I don’t hold out much hope for the longevity of this job.. I mean, doubling your income from a $20/£20 ride a couple of times a day won’t pay many bills or put many dinners on the table! 😫

Haha. You don’t really know the cons of the job until you actually start doing it. Great story!

Good interpretation. I wonder what it really was, a protest march on wheels perhaps?

It’s what they don’t tell you that’s most important!
