It’s time again, for Kat Myrman’s wonderful challenge, to write a story, inspired by her picture prompt, in 280 characters or fewer.
Here is this week’s prompt and my contribution.
Check out all the fabulously creative entries here and, if you’ve never had a go, why not try a story of your own? You may surprise yourself!

It was a huge turnout for the inaugural “Invisible Hot Air Balloon Convention.”
The baskets had to be in the form of bird cages, but otherwise there were no restrictions. Balloons could be any shape and size, and colour.
Everyone was ecstatic.
Me, I just couldn’t see the attraction!

Unaffordable for most, because of inflation!

It was an interesting photo, no doubt. I love that it is a real place and is an art exhibit. Recently my city has erected a huge two-story bronze hand clutching a mirror ball in its hand in the town square. It’s intriguing. I don’t know yet what it is all about or who the artist is, but it certainly catches one’s attention while waiting at the stoplight. 😉

Me neither! And by the way…You didn’t miss much after You left. That’s about as high up as they all went. Stuck and bottlenecked right after take off. It turned out to be an alright party though!!! 😊 Thanks for gifting my first smile of the day, Peter! Cheers!!! 😄

I like your take on the prompt. It’s a long time since I’ve written. I’m seriously thinking of easing myself back in with this challenge 🙂
